Hi, Monolith!
01:54
|
|
||
(The monolith)
Deep deep deep in the forest
Tendrils all around
Something’s in there waiting
Waiting to be found
Standing tall and proudly
A mountainous creation
But when all is quiet, you can’t deny
It’s a musical sensation
Night falls to a hush
Lurking in the underbrush
Here come creatures from far off reaches
Doing things, they dance and sing
Hi, Monolith!
We all heard your song
Hi, Monolith!
We want to sing along
Oh, hi monolith!
What stories will you tell
Your lovely glow will help us know
And we will treat you well
We will treat you well

Flying Machine
03:57
|
|
||
Hey guys guess what I just bought
Hey y'all guess what I just got
Something crazy you won’t believe
I got myself a flying machine
How much did it cost?
A hundred billion dollars
But it’s money well spent, that’s what I say
Oh yeah
I’ll fly to my favorite restaurant
And order some burgers for the whole squad
I’ll do so many wonderful things
With my brand new flying machine
Oh my god
I honestly can’t wait
Oh yeah
Flying machine
Oh yeah
I can’t wait to fly in my flying machine
Hey guys guess where I am right now
I’m hovering over Bangladesh
I’m having such a wonderful time
Having a flying machine is the best
I wonder what happens when I press
This button that says time machine
Holy crap I’m in 1963
I want to fly to the moon
That’s just something I wanna do
It’s gonna be cool, wait and see
I love my flying machine
Oh yeah
Flying machine
Oh yeah
I can’t wait to fly in my flying machine
Oh no, watch out
Here comes a flock of geese
They look kinda scary
I think they’re in some kind of gang
A goose gang
Oh god oh no, they’ve all got knives
I think they plan to end my life
So I whip out my famous patented goose repellent
And with a boom and bang, they fly away
And just like that, the day is saved
I guess that means it’s time to get back to my flying machine
Oh yeah
Flying machine
Oh yeah
I sure love to fly in my
Can’t wait to fly in my
Sure love to fly in my flying machine

The Golden Land
03:40
|
|
||
We’re on our way to the golden land
And we won’t return till we’ve reached the end
Our map will guide me and all my friends
There’s prosperous outlooks at the highest chance
We’re heading out to the golden land
With riches galore at every single glance
As we ride our steed listenin’ to the band
We come together and we sing and dance
Going ooh la la la
We hoot and holler and shout hoorah
Ooh la la la
We’ll gain the fame that we always saw
Ooh la la la
Across the fields and through the bog
Ooh la la la
La la la la
We come across an angry troll
Who’ll let us pass with a measly toll
He speaks of a game with a single role
If we lose he takes our souls
A simple challenge of RPS
And it all comes down to who throws the best
So he throws rock, and then we grin
As we throw paper, that means we win
And we go ooh la la la
We hoot and holler and shout hoorah
Ooh la la la
We’ll gain the fame that we always saw
Ooh la la la
Across the fields and through the bog
Ooh la la la
La la la la
And lo, draws near a fiery beast
Who’s come to kill and to prey and feast
We scream and run but it’s no use
The monster roars and begins to choose
I draw my blade and I charge away
Stabbing the beast and saving the day
The monster is slain and we are saved
So we continue and shout hooray
We arrive at the gates of the golden land
I’m finally here with all my friends
And we claim our prize at my command
It’s beautiful, we’ve reached the end
And we go ooh la la la
We hoot and holler and shout hoorah
Ooh la la la
We gained the fame that we always saw
Ooh la la la
Across the fields and through the bog
Ooh la la la
La la la la

When Grandma Attacks
03:41
|
|
||
Look at little grandma all asleep
On the sofa watching her TV
Little did she know
Someone’s opened her window
And next morning she’s nowhere to be seen
Grandmas all around will disappear
And then the public will fall into fear
Where have they gone
Off their rocking chair and lawn
Well maybe you could lend me your ear
This world is simply imperfect
And I’ve spent years set to fix it
Now you’ll all run for shelter
When you see my army of elders
I’m using grandmas as soldiers
Knitting needles stuck through your shoulders
Here they come as you gaze
So you better count your days
Army helmets fit for raisin skin
Yellow smiles drooping to their chin
Now they’re marching with their canes
As I control their brains
Telling them to go and get a win
They’ll kill you with their stories and their guns
As far as they know, they’re just having fun
Hypnotized and foggy eyes, they’re ripe for mind control
So their muscles once again can rock and roll
They’re out for blood, once more
Worn out bones knocking down your door
The people will finally come to see
And they’ll grovel at my feet
But a lesson must be taught
On this world that we let rot
And there’s nothing you can do
Now granny’s got a bone to pick with you
Pick a fight
With an old lady, dead of night
You fight all right
She’s clammy and she’s flaky
You are scared and cold
But now this war is getting old
Literally, it’s old ladies
She has a knife
And she attacks, you parry right
She wants your life
To end, she wants to end your life
But you can disarm her
But you don’t want to harm her
She used to bake banana bread
Now she only wants your head
And all of you will shout
What the hell is this about
And none of you will see
That pollution was the key
You’re killing all the fish (All the fish)
And it kinda makes me pissed (Makes me pissed)
So the obvious solution
Is a grandma revolution
They are completely vile
They’re mind controlled and senile
Even though they used to
Be so nice to you
Oh oh and yes, they’re an army
But I just can’t say I’m sorry
Won’t anybody stop me
Nobody can stop me now
Nobody can stop me now, oh no

Stuart Little
04:01
|
|
||
It was a movie from '99
Adapted from a book written by E.B. White
And even though it made plenty of cash
This movie makes me mad
A family goes to the orphanage
To find a brother for their 9 year old kid
But what do they bring in their house
Some stupid little mouse
Ohh, woah oh oh, I only want to sing my prayer
Ohh, woah oh oh, so you can feel the hate I share
Stuart Little, I hate your face
You dress up like the human race
Stuart Little, a mouse that talks
And sounds like Michael J Fox
His antics make me want to scream
I can’t stand watching him on the screen
Who’s idea was this flick?
It really makes me sick (blegh)
I don’t care about his family issues
While the rest of the audience are grabbing tissues
I’m trying not to scream at him and say
“I wish you passed away”
Ohh, woah oh oh, I see him in my dreams every night
Ohh, woah oh oh, staring with his beady little eyes
Ohh, woah oh oh, won’t anybody understand
Ohh, woah oh oh, why this movie should be banned
Stuart Little, I hate your face
You dress up like the human race
Stuart Little, a mouse that talks
And sounds like Michael J Fox
When will this rodent learn
That he deserves to burn
People always tellin’ me to chill
But I just want to talk to who produced this film
And question them why
Did you comply
To the person whose big idea to you
Was a mouse that’s wearing tennis shoes
Stuart Little, I hate your face
You dress up like the human race
Stuart Little, a mouse that talks
And sounds like Michael J Fox
Stuart Little, I hate your face
You dress up like the human race
Stuart Little, a mouse that talks
And sounds like Michael J Fox

The Ballad Of Mr. Engel
03:37
|
|
||
Mr, Mr. Engel
You’ll teach us all the knowledge in the galaxy
Mr. Mr Engel
You’re the man with the plan, I see
Mr, Mr. Engel
You’re like an angel in the sky
You’re a diamond in the rough
So will that be enough
For an A plus in your eyes
You beautiful
Greek god, you human man
Eighth wonder of the world
Oh god, you make me mad
You make me wanna twirl
When the moon smiles down on me
And stars as far as the eye can see
Well I can’t see a better teacher than you
Mr, Mr Engel
Antigone doesn’t a chance against you (yeah!)
Mr, Mr Engel
You’ll save us all, I know it’s true (yes, it's true)
Mr “amazing” Engel
You’ve gotta lotta problems
But I won’t list them here
Because they don’t fit the tone
And you might call my home
And my parents aren’t gonna want to hear
(Hello?)
You beautiful
Greek god, you human man
Eighth wonder of the world
Oh god, you make me mad
You make me wanna twirl
When the moon smiles down on me
With stars as far as the eye can see
Well I can’t see a better teacher than you
You’re amazingly awesome, you’re awfully
Kind of kind and nice inside
Your heart, hardly hardens any day and night
That passes by and by
Without you, I’d be completely alone
That’s hyperbole!
Which you taught me
And everyone in the world
Mr, Mr. Engel
Here’s a key change in the final verse
Mr, Mr Engel
You’re the savior of the universe
Mr, Mr. Engel
Everybody looks up to you
Figuratively and literally
Because you’re probably eight foot two!
Oh, you beautiful
Greek god, you human man
Eighth wonder of the world
Oh god, you make me mad
You make me wanna twirl
When the moon smiles down on me
With stars as far as the eye can see
Well I can’t see a better teacher than you
I can't see a better teacher than you
Mr, Mr Engel
This better get me lots of points

Geomagnetism
03:30
|
|
||
Something rattles my bones
Nobody ever knows
There are no noises made
There are no words to say
Something is at my door
And it blew up the store
Furniture upside down
So is this worth my frown?
It takes my breath away
It takes a couple days
A man across the street
Was swept right off his feet
He called the cops instead
But they just shook their head
And called it make believe
And called him naive
Magnetic, kinetic
Coming from dirt and rubble
It curdles and murders
Bursting atmospheric bubbles
Nobody understands
The way I’ve felt it firsthand
Some kind of twisted schism
Of geomagnetism
Something is breaking up
It keeps me waking up
The rocks that hold my place
Just end up on my face
I only want to think
About my forty winks
My clawfoot bathtub ended up
In the kitchen sink
I told my therapist
They say it don’t exist
And gave me bad advice
I’ll readjust my sights
I don’t believe in mothman
Or the buggane
But friends and family
Say that I am insane
Magnetic, kinetic
Coming from dirt and rubble
It curdles and murders
Bursting atmospheric bubbles
Something is a knockin’
Tectonic plates a rockin'
Some kind of twisted schism
Of geomagnetism
Oh, so can’t you feel the rhythm
Of geomagnetism
Some seismic hypnotism
Of geomagnetism
(Geomagnetism)
(Geomagnetism)
(Geomagnetism)
(Geomagnetism)

Shake It Up
05:00
|
|
||
They say you’re magic
They say you know it all
How can that be?
You’re just a little ball
You’ve gotta tell me
I’ve gotta know
I hit rock bottom
Where do I go?
I know you know how I feel
But it’s all seeming so unreal
Now I look to you for clues
On what to do, I’m needing you
No one wants to help
A maniac not unlike myself
I’m just having one of those days
When life is gonna go this way
So when I ask the question
Help me out, I’m beggin'
Cause I feel like I’m drowning
In a pool of confusion
This is my life that I’m losing
(Now I gotta)
Shake it up
Is my outlook any good
These spherical lyrics always
Told me I could
Shake it up
Are signs pointing anywhere
Because I’m pulling my hair
When I’m going there
My worries falling to fears
And here come all the falling tears
I feel like I’m trapped in some puzzle cube
And I feel like a marble, like some kind of rube
A bird drinking from a glass of mistakes
Like I’m etching a sketch of the plans that I make
But you, your numerical prowess is clear
So really, is there anything for me to fear
So when I’m asking you now
Could you please tell me how
Cause I know you have the answers
So could you tell me
Oh please just tell me
(Now I gotta)
Shake it up
Is it decidedly so
Cause I feel lost in the sauce
And I don’t know where to go
Shake it up
Replies are always hazy
Am I going crazy?
Cause I just can’t tell anymore
Shake it up
My sources say no
Shake it up
Don’t count on it
Shake it up
You gotta concentrate
And you really really really gotta
Ask again
Shake it up
Without a single doubt
My mind is scattered and I’m striking out
Shake it up
Most likely losing my mind
Because I’m starting to find
That I just gotta
Shake it up
Yes, oh, definitely, I’m going insane
Something’s wrong with my brain
Shake it up
I’ve only got this ball
Because I’m betting it all
And now I gotta
Shake it up

Eating Lightning
04:05
|
|
||
Out on the porch, with a spoon and a fork
Waiting awfully quiet, moon shining bright
As the clouds rolling in, I get my rolling pin
And the rain starts to come in, I turn on the oven
This feat may be fatal, but I brought my ladle
For a crispy snack tonight
You call me stupid, but I still will do it
I’m gonna eat jolts of light
Use the rain as a broth, 'cause it’s all that I got
Use the hail as a crouton, I lack any fruit on me
Though I may know, we could harness the snow
As a sauce or a side, the choices are mine
It’s nature’s dish
Not steak or fish
But something straight from the source
A tasty treat
Almost complete
All I need now is the main course
Guess what I’m doing tonight
I’ve got a brand new dish to try
And it just might taste fine
Smoked or toasted or deep fried
Defy the culinary laws
This meal comes from the sky
I am eating lightning
And it just might taste alright
Watch the clouds
The thunder loudens in my ear
Waiting now
I don’t ask how, I know it’s almost here
Holding a bowl
There’s a thought in my soul
Might I be a fool
No, I never went to school
I don’t know, I don’t know
Oh oh no
I think tonight
I might miss out on lightning
It all seems unlikely
I just set my sights here
A little too far
For a meal from the stars
I head back inside
(But then, but then)
A bright shiny bolt
Strikes inside of my bowl
My mission here is done
Now dinner is served
With a taste of the earth
I finally touched the sun
Guess what I’m doing tonight
I’ve got a brand new dish to try
And it just might taste fine
Smoked or toasted or deep fried
Defied the culinary laws
And now I can finally say
I am eating lightning
And it doesn’t really taste that great

Your Old Car
05:10
|
|
||
I remember nights
When we’d cruise along
Singing all the songs
Where did all that go
We used to take it slow
Now it’s all too much
Gotta break it up
Just like you broke me
Cause now I finally see
Even with broken lights
Why we lost those nights
Maybe I wasn’t right
The right one just for you
But I did all I could do
Now I guess I am replaced
When I took that hammer to the face
You used to cover me
With such pretty art
Now it’s torn apart
But I won’t forget
The good times that we had (Yeah!)
Going for a ride (Yeah, going for a ride!)
Even in the rain
We’d still drive outside
But one fateful night
You and all your friends
Were drinking like the end
And you went to the porch
Walking up to me
With a sledge hammer
I tried to get away
Then it all went grey
But my engine still goes
And my tires will spin
And you’ll never know
But I will still win
Now I’m rolling from the dump
Speed increasing quick
Pushing on the stick
Set to your address
You’re still on the lawn
And I’m back on the lawn
And then you see me and you scream
And then you’re gone
